The good neighbor award goes to Elly & Jack, always called Mr. & Mrs. Fermoil by we children as our family grew up next door on Baird Rd. They were good friends for our parents, Orrin & Helen Keppler. Their children were friends of my younger siblings & some still are close to each other.
I am happy to know that Elly lived such a fulfilled, long life. Penfield will miss such a marvelous woman!

Baird Road was a wonderful place to grow up with the Fermoil clan as friends with all the other growing clans within a 10 house stretch. My parents counted 18 bikes parked in our driveway at a time. My Mom considered Ellie her closest friend and confidant and hope they get together in the eternal ever after.

To my dear cousins and their families,
Having spent precious moments with your Mom, I can only begin to imagine your sorrow. Elly personified the best of the Daigler family tree and will be in mine and Barbara's heart forever. Words are inadequate to express how much we appreciated your Mom - she was a lifeline to my Mom during sad, sad times and for that I am more than grateful. Her kind soul and infectious personality made her a joy to be with and we will cherish those memories. I know how much she meant to you and believe me, you all meant even more to her. All our love, Mike and Barbara

Grandma Elly has been such a light in my life. I remember a time when I was walking down the hallway and said “Elly where are you going?” And she said “don’t call me Elly. Call me grandma”. She’s always been like family to me. I’m so grateful to have known her. I will keep her love and encouraging spirit in my heart. Sending love to the family.

Mom, I love you so very much and am very glad you are now at peace and reunited with dad and Mike❤️
Thank you for the love, support, guidance and laughter through the years.
Thank you for giving us laughter in your final days, those of us there will never forget, how you got us laughing when you expressed your passionate feelings about a certain gentleman in politics.
I love and miss you mom!
