An amazing guy, cool, calm, and so friendly. A classmate, friend, not to mention a Nutso Squad creator! Had a lot of fun with Jay and the group.

I had the privilege of getting to know Jay in high school and becoming one of my best friends. I have a lot of fond memories of the time we spent together from our senior trip to Toronto, all the many road trips through the 80's and Saturday afternoons watching football at Flags. If I needed help with something or just needed to talk Jay was there for me, he is a friend of a lifetime and I miss him deeply. My sympathies to his family in this difficult time. Love you brother

Jay and I were close friends in junior high and high school. I’ll always remember him as someone who never had to try to be cool. He just was. Jay was one of those people who was naturally friends with everyone. Whether you were a jock, brain, or rebel, it didn’t matter to Jay. The girls absolutely adored him. Jay is one of those high school classmates who had a lasting impact on me. My sympathies to his family in this difficult time.
