Obituary of Deborah Erma Moerschel

Deborah Erma Moerschel of Webster, NY passed away on January 30,2023. Deborah was born on June 11, 1950, to Daniel and Linda Violante of Rochester, NY. After Deborah graduated from Schroeder High School in 1968, she went on to Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing. She practiced nursing for two years at Rochester General Hospital and completed her Registered Nurse degree at Monroe Community College. Deborah met Daniel Philip Moerschel in their childhood years and married in 1972.  Together they had four children, Rebekah, Rachel, Tim, and Priscilla.

Deborah enjoyed crocheting, sewing, visiting with, and nurturing her 17 grandchildren and creating her own recipes in the kitchen. She developed her cooking website, Memorable Food Dishes and later took culinary classes at Monroe Community College.  Deborah would light up a room, bringing a smile to all. Her spiritual sensitivity towards the needs of others inspired both her fervent prayer life and her time spent visiting with others. She gained strength from her daily, passionate scripture reading.

Deborah is predeceased by her father, Daniel Violante. She is survived by her husband Daniel, her mother Linda, her two sisters, Sharon and Gail, her four children Rebekah, Rachel, Tim, and Priscilla, her seventeen grandchildren Breana, Borzhana, Bear, Genesis, Jonah, Quinlan, Hosanna, Judah, Grant, Noah, Nalia, Tabitha, Corbin, Aurora, Able, Mena and Nova and one great grandson, Maui.

The Memorial Service will be held at United Methodist Church of Webster on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to “Life Today with James and Betty Robison”
