Obituary of Marjorie B. Wells
Webster: Passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022, at the age of 90. Predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley. She is survived by her daughters, Sue W. Maurer and Carol W. (Stuart) Cooper; grandchildren, Sarah (Sean) Donohue, Katie Maurer, Ellen (Dan) Pollatta and Anna (Chris) Williams; three great-granddaughters; dear niece, nephew, and cousins.
Marge was an active member of Webster Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years, with a special interest in the mission work of the church. She served in many capacities, both in the local church and in the denomination at large. At Webster Presbyterian Church, she was a member of Ruth’s Circle, Presbyterian Women in the Congregation, and Afghan/Blanket Project.
A member of Country Gardeners of Webster and founding member of AAII (American Association of Individual Investors), she was also a hospital visiting layperson.
She and her husband, Stan, traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. She loved nature and gardening and had a great fondness for a beautiful sunrise, a brilliant full moon, and backyard rainbows.
Marge and Stan were always willing to use their gifts and talents to help others, running a ministry to those in need out of his workshop and her kitchen.
She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.
Family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service 11:00 AM Saturday, December 10 at Webster Presbyterian Church, 550 Webster Road, Webster, NY 14580.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Church Memorial Fund.
