Obituary of Steven Yokopovich

Steven "Steve" Yokopovich was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on September 12, 2022.

Predeceased by his parents, Adam and Kathleen Yokopovich. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Patricia; children, Katie (Stephen) Sargent, Michael (Lauren) Yokopovich, Jaclyn (Omkar) Ranade, Shannon Yokopovich, Audrey Yokopovich; six grandchildren; brother, Andy Yokopovich; sister, Eva (Dan) Garcia; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Tom (Debbie) Cumpston.

He was born to Adam and Kathleen Yokopovich on August 11, 1956.  Steve was a proud member of the Boy Scouts through school and became an Eagle Scout his senior year.

After graduating, Steve moved to Alaska where he would meet his future wife, Patricia Cumpston.    In 1977, Steve and Patti moved back to Rochester, NY, where they eventually settled on his family's farm in Webster.  He was a master electrician and was an active member of the IBEW for over 20 years.

Steve was most proud of his 5 children.  He spent countless hours on trips, practices, games, and traveling.  He sacrificed so much in order to help his kids succeed in numerous endeavors.

The family fondly remembers people always approaching Steve in public to reminisce or give a friendly, "Hello!"  Everyone knew Steve.  We know his memory will survive through the many relationships he had over the years.
