Obituary of Lawrence James Liverman

Webster:  “Lonnie” to all who knew him, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on August 25th, 2022, after his battle with leukemia. 

 

Lonnie was born October 26th, 1954, and raised in Webster. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army while stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, MO., and continued his service in the Reserves. A member of FreeChurch.Net; he was also known as the ‘Gentle Giant’ who touched many people’s lives through his participation in Anonymous support groups, and acted as a sponsor for numerous individuals in those groups. 

 

Lonnie was a well-known Webster resident and devoted father, grandfather and brother. He was a retired 42-year employee of Webster Central School District’s Schroeder High School.

 

Survived by his children, Jeremy (Naomi) Liverman of Fulton, David Liverman of Webster and Jessica (Gautam Jagannathan) Liverman of Fairport;  grandchildren;  sisters, Sue Clemons and Lona Liverman; many nieces and nephews; former wife, Karen (Dave) Woodworth; and many dear friends. Predeceased by his father, Lawrence, and step-mother, Marilyn Liverman; mother, Mildred Steers; uncles Eugene “Peewee”, John “Jay”, and Robert “Bud” Liverman; and by his stepson, Leonard Smith. 


Friends may call 4-8 PM Friday, September 9 at Willard H Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave, Webster, where his Memorial Service will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, September 10. Interment, Webster Union Cemetery.
