Obituary of Donald E. Senecal
Webster: Age 92. Surrounded by the love of his family, Donald E. Senecal passed away peacefully on July 22, 2022. Devoted husband for over 61 years to his late wife Mary, he is survived by his children Michele (Eric), Warren (Susie), Denise, Nora and David; grandchildren Carlos, Joseph (Nina), Maria, Michael, Celia (Derrik), Erika, Mara, Reese, Grace and Tyler; six great grandchildren and sisters-in-law Anne (Edward) and Marianne. He will be missed by a cherished circle of cousins, nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, James.
Born in Detroit, MI, he earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering after serving in the Korean War from 1952-54 in the 74th Engineer Combat Battalion, as Sergeant First Class. As a professional engineer he worked for Chrysler, General Electric, as a member of jet engine design team for the Supersonic Transport, and Xerox. He was a lifetime honorary 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council. Friends may call 4 – 7 PM Friday, Aug. 12 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave. Webster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday, Aug. 13 at St. Paul’s Church, 783 Hard Rd. Webster. Interment at Webster Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to the Pines of Peace Comfort Care Home (Ontario) or St. Paul’s Church (Webster).
