Obituary of Robert "Bob" Pierson
Webster: At the age of 89, a longtime resident of Webster, died suddenly on Friday, July 1, 2022 at his home.
Born February 24, 1933 in Auburn, NY, Bob grew up in Seabreeze, on the shores of Irondequoit Bay and Lake Ontario, where he acquired his life-long love of boats, motors, and the water. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army at the missile testing site in White Sands, New Mexico. His civilian professional life was spent in sales in the Rochester area.
Bob is survived by his loving family; daughter, Julie (Dana) McMahan; son, John (Nancy); sister, Shirley Killian; grandchildren, Rachael (Eric) Stillway, Claire Blackledge, Nicholas McMahan, Katey McMahan; and special sisters and brother-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Bob also leaves behind a network of special families, neighbors, and the residents and staff at The Friendly Home where he volunteered. His special love for dogs, children, and storytelling will be greatly missed.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill; and JoAnn, his beloved wife of 61 years.
Friends may call 1-2 PM Saturday, July 30 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Avenue, Webster, where a Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM.
