Obituary of Robert "Bob" Michael Chizek
Webster: Surrounded by his family, Bob passed away peacefully on 17 June 2022 at the age of 93. He was a proud Navy veteran, who enlisted in 1947 as a radioman and was then assigned to Patrol Squadron 24. After the Navy, Bob obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for Westinghouse and General Electric prior to accepting an opportunity with Xerox in Webster, where he worked for over 30 years and then retired. Bob loved to tinker with almost anything mechanical or electrical, and closely followed the stock market, but above all else, his greatest source of pride was his family.
Bob is predeceased by his loving wife, Beverly, and now re-joins his place by her side. Bob is survived by his children, Katherine (Chizek) Short, R. Mark Chizek, and Kristen (Chizek) Reale, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him eternally. Most recently, Bob and his family were also blessed to have had an exceptionally dedicated care team who gave him great joy and who provided this family boundless support.
Friends may call 10-11 AM Tuesday, June 21, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where a private family service will follow at 11:00 AM.
