It’s often awkward for a father to welcome his daughter’s boyfriend, who became his son-in-law, into the family, but Jim gave me the chance! I will forever be grateful for his warmth, generosity, sense of humor, and kindness. Throughout the 27+ years I’ve been married to his daughter, Amanda, we felt Jim’s support and prayer for our family.
Jim and Jan welcomed our sons, their grandchildren, Josh and Andrew, into their home for long summer vacations that gave them the chance to hone their boating and fishing skills, while getting to know their grandparents. Those days were filled with memories they’ll always cherish. Our memories will carry all of us through the years.

So many happy memories of all our camping adventures as a family. Come to find out, Dad didn’t like camping that much but he LOVED fishing and frying up fresh trout on the campfire! I love this picture- Dad really made our times together fun!

Jim was a faithful shepherd and his flock "knew his voice and followed him." May he rest in the presence of His Savior and hear the "Well done" of his heavenly Father. Pastor Clemens was privileged to lead a wonderful group of Christ-followers at Penfield Wesleyan. Many, like Jim, have gone on to their eternal reward.
