Obituary of Patricia A. "Pat" Cronin
Webster: At the age of 93, Pat passed away December 29, 2021. She was born and raised in Utica NY, to Angeline and Leo Wilcox. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Keehle of Pittsford; her brother, James Wilcox (Mary) of New Hartford; her son, John Cronin (Barbara) of Nipomo, CA; her son, Michael Cronin (Merna) of Winter Springs FL; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Cronin of Fairport NY; her daughter, Gail Cronin of Naperville, IL; her son, Robert Cronin (Cynthia) of Albuquerque, NM; 9 grandchildren: Ryan Cronin, Shane Cronin (Angela), Caroline Cronin (Curtis), Patrick Cronin (Lisa), Alec Cronin, Jonathan Cronin, Braden Cronin, Kelsea Cronin, Riley Cronin; 3 great-grandchildren: Lochlan Mortimer, Clayton Mortimer and Molly Cronin.
Pat graduated from Utica Catholic Academy in April 1945 as valedictorian. A nursing graduate of St Elizabeth Hospital Utica, Pat was a RN for many years. She was a loving wife of 51 years to John J. Cronin who passed away in 2005. Pat and John eventually settled in Webster, NY, where she dedicated herself to raising their family. Pat was a steadfast Catholic with strong faith and dedication to the church. Pat loved to play bridge and pinochle, playing in different clubs all her adult years. She was also quite a gardener and was a longtime member of the Webster Garden Club. She had a quick wit and often had a wry comment to bring laughter to a room. Pat spent her last years in Naperville, IL, with her caring daughter Gail.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours 5-7 PM Thursday, January 13, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Friday, January 14, at Holy Trinity Church, 11460 Ridge Rd., Webster. Pat will be laid to rest at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Maryknoll Sisters and Catholic Relief Services.
