Obituary of Marlene Sharp

Webster: Passed away on November 14^th, 2021, after 90 wonderful years of life. Marlene was born on September 27^th, 1931, in Bombay, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Randy) Patton; brother, Conrad (Carol) Russell; son-in-law, David Abbott; granddaughters, Amy (Dan) O’Neill, Melissa (Jon) Edwards, and Brittany Patton; five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Perry and Catherine Russell; husband, Jene Sharp; daughter, Diane Abbott.

Marlene loved spending time outdoors. She enjoyed sweeping her driveway and tending to her gardens. She loved baking, shopping, doing puzzles, playing Bingo, spending time with her family, playing cards, and going to the casino with her husband. Marlene spent many years working at Kodak, but later enjoyed earning her “mad money” at JCPenny’s.

Family and friends may call 4-7 PM Friday, November 19, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where her Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 20. Interment at Union Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
