Cyndi was a neighbor around the block, and so I didn't get to see her much, but I did go to her baby shower, and she came over once to get flower plants that I was constantly trying to give away :) She was a very sweet person. I also went to RPI, albeit 15 years before her, and didn't know that, wish we had had that conversation! This is just so unfair to happen to such a nice person. So sorry for such a loss.

To Matt, Andrew, Alex, and Cindy's family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Cindy was such a great friend to me. We first met at orientation day at RPI in 1989. Cindy came with her mom and dad, and I came with my mom. We happen to end up sitting at the same lunch table that day, and we've become friends ever since. We took many classes together at RPI, and after graduation, we both got married and had 2 boys. We've kept in touch through the years, first with emails and Christmas cards, and later with Facebook. We recently met again when my older son started attending Eastman in Rochester, and I'm so very glad I got the chance to see her again. And as for my son, he felt so at home with Cindy, Matt, and her family that it helped lessen the loneliness of being so far from home for the first time, and I am forever grateful to them. I still cannot believe that she is gone, but I hope Matt, Andrew, and Alex know that even though Cindy is no longer with us, she is forever in our hearts and that we love your family very much.
With deepest condolences,
Patsy McLain

We feel fortunate to have met Cindy and to have her help us mentor the Penfield robotics team. Cindy was great at working with the students. Her positive influence on the team will be felt for many years to come.

Cindy did an awesome job as a mentor on the robotics team. She was also an excellent mom. Cindy was always looking out for her children. She will be missed, but we will always remember the things she taught us.

I am so very sad and shocked to hear this~my son Ben and Andrew were in class together in the early years of Scribner Road. Cyndy was a delight and even showed up with Andrew at Ben's birthday party with her special peanut-free cupcake for Andrew. My thoughts are with all of you at this time. I wish you peace.

May God bless and comfort you. We pray for your healing, when memories are cherished with a smile as the blessing they are.
One of my favorites:
Remember Me:
To the living, I am gone.
To the sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated,
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore, gazing at a beautiful sea - remember me.
As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand majesty - remember me.
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity - remember me.
Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories of the times we loved,
the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed.
For if you always think of me, I will never be gone.
