Through the years, you and I grew to know each other in very special ways. I’ll never forget our conversations about the Bible and the knowledge you shared with me about your faith in God. Our discussions about our wood stoves. Our working together to build the addition to the West Avenue home. Our fishing expeditions and how you showed me how to tie a knot at the end of my line. What baits to use. Where to find the fish! East Lake and our fishing expeditions there. How to take care of a trailer and a boat. You taught me about your beagles and your rabbit hunting. Your garden, and all the vegetables you grew and how healthy they were. How to fix a lawnmower. How to build houses. Your plans for the new land you purchased. You taught me a great deal. I will always miss our friendship and our conversations. I look forward to the day when we’ll be able to resume our wonderful talks. Our memories and our friendship. Please wait for me to get there with you so we can share those memories. I sincerely miss you, but take comfort in knowing that in another world we will once again share our friendship and our conversations.
