Obituary of Michael B. Mead
BRIGHTON and PALM BEACH, FL:
Michael passed away peacefully Saturday, November 22, 2020. Pre-
deceased by his loving parents Leo R. and Margaret Mead.
Mike lived several years in Brighton and Palm Beach. He built a successful hospitality career, working his way up to restaurant operations. Also a camp counselor at Camp Haccamo, Penfield, they honored his work and congeniality with a celebratory “Mike Mead Day.” Hobbies included building a massive classic car model collection, bicycling long distances, caddying at Oak Hill Country Club, Bingo, volunteer for St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Palm Beach Treasure of the Island Sale to benefit their Food Pantry, and spending time with family and friends.
Mike will be remembered for being kind and congenial to all, generous, his strong work ethic, and spirit lifting sense of humor.
Survived by his loving siblings, Margaret (Richard) Peters, Dennis (Patricia), Mary Katherine; a niece, many nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and several cousins.
There will be a Mass of Resurrection this Wednesday, November 25, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 150 Varinna Dr., Brighton. The family is sincerely grateful to the Medical and support staff at Highland Hospital ICU, and the staff at CDS Monarch, Penfield. Donations in his memory may be made to Holy Childhood at holychildhood.org.
