I worked with Marty for many years (during the 80’s) at Xerox. We kept in touch after she retired through Christmas and birthday cards. She was always very thoughtful and just a wonderful person to be around. I can see her visiting with our friends who have passed -- Mary, Dottie, Jean, and Lloyd – a lot to talk about – and, of course, Joe.
I would like to share some words that comforted me when my parents passed away and I hope they will comfort you.
Today we say goodbye to a loved one
Someone who filled our lives with joy and meaning, laughter and tears
Someone who touched our souls and moved our hearts
We thank her for the time she shared with us on earth and now sadly send her spirit to the heavens
When you look at the stars, remember her – she will be the brightest star in the evening sky
She will be missed. My thought and prayers are with you.
