Obituary of Herbert Henry Karl Oelkers

Webster:  Passed peacefully on October 20th after a long illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY, May, 4th 1935. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematical Statistics from RIT. Herb served honorably as an officer in the US Air Force. He built a successful career at Xerox. He had a passion to spend quality time in his home office and his shop. Predeceased by his wife, the love of his life Carol Marchant Oelkers.  Herb was a devoted father to his sons, Keith  (Meghan)  Oelkers, granddaughters Mary and Kalin of Delmar NY; and Scott Oelkers  (Fiancée Lisa Treier)  of Penfield NY. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Meybaum, from Horseheads, NY; his nieces and nephews.

Private service held at Webster Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Herb's name to Lollypop Farm (lollypop.org).
