Laura epitomized one of her favorite verses, Joshua 1:9. She was incredibly strong and courageous. She was also compassionate, encouraging and kind. She is missed by all.

We will remember and miss Laura’s excellence, courage, tenacity, and caring. We first got to know Laura almost 20 years ago through her committed and top-notch work in the children’s education program at church. We subsequently saw how those qualities extended to everything she did including wonderful meals that she prepared! Laura exemplified “pressing on for the prize” (Phil. 3:14) of knowing and serving God, an example that will remain with and inspire us.

Laura was a great friend and competitor in triathlons. I always enjoyed her company during practices and could never seem to pass her in the races! She was a great athlete for sure. Condolences to all of her family.

Laura was such an advocate for the people she cared for. I had the privilege to work with her and know her as a person. I was always amazed by her athletic ability and she was so humble about it. Your running family misses you so much.

Dear Jim, Abigail and Matt, We send our thoughts and prayers to you all at this time of your sad loss. Laura was Ruth's therapist for three years, and her arrival at our home always meant a bright ray of sunshine. I took Laura's water aerobic classes at the Eastside YMCA for the past few years. She was my favorite instructor and I loved her classes.
