I remember Mr. Mark as the cherished Papa of my close childhood friends, Tracy and Taylor. He loved his daughters and it showed. He always struck me as a really great dad. -Jennifer

I worked with Mark for his last 20 years at Dynalec - we discussed many things in those 20 years but most of all we discussed family. He always talked about his girls and I would laugh and tell him my father used to say the same things because he had all girls! Not being much of a wine person Mark schooled me on what wines were really good especially after his trips to Napa with Paula. He assured me port wine was the best!! Not to mention some of his German food he would bring to work to share!!
Mark was smart and funny and we had quite a few laughs at work! And as everyone has said he always talked about Friday night pizza and wine with his bride!!
My deepest sympathy to Paula, girls and the rest of the family - He will always watch over you.
Sincerely,
Lori St. Pierre/Coworker and friend

I worked with Mark but in another area of the metal shop. He was a generous and helpful person. He gave people rides to work, picked up lunch orders, always ordered girl scout cookies and sponsored me for the cropwalk. And always helpful when you were trying to solve a problem in the shop. We both had the same love for family and values that made us good friends.
My favorite thing about him was how much he loved and enjoyed his family. He looked forward to their Friday night pizza and the summer vacations. Then the grandchildren came and it was a different kind of smile on his face.
When my husband and I built our house, Mark ask if I wanted some hosta. To my surprise, he brought a trunk load! I think of him every spring when they come up.
I’m so sad about his passing. But I think he had a very blessed life.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Paula and family, Cathy Johnson

It was a great joy for me as Mark's pastor to baptize him three years ago, with a few church members there to witness the occasion. It was a blessing for us to see Mark profess his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and we are greatly comforted to know that Mark is now in our Savior's presence, forever liberated from debilitating health and the burdens of this life. I look forward to seeing him again in that blessed place where "death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away," for God will have made "all things new" (Revelation 21:4-5).

Mark was so fun to have on our Napa trips. He enjoyed the homes we would rent in the vineyard as well as the great top notch wineries we would visit. One time the homeowners made us wear mops on our feet to clean the floors! The joke was on them though, when they wouldn't fit Mark's size 13 feet. We would cook great meals together with food we purchased at the Sunshine Market and paired them with the fine wine we acquired that day.
When I would ask Mark what he thought of the wines we had, most often he would say "DELICIOUS!" That really sums up all of our Napa trips and how much Mark enjoyed his time there.

I want to thank Mark for his patience and understanding thru my learning years of CNC machines at Dynalec starting in 2003.
Mark's determination, good work habits, and his machine tooling knowledge helped me to do my work efficiently and safely.
I'll always remember what he's done for me! My sincere condolences to the Mark's family.

I remember not only the man who died, but also, one who led an honorable life.
I have so many happy fond memories of spending time with Mark. Whether we were playing volleyball, camping or sitting outside, he always had a smile on his face and made everyone around him feel loved. He was always humorous with his expressionless comments. We were very lucky to have had Mark in our lives.
May your many memories of Mark help to sustain you at this most difficult time.

Mark used to like making the Friday lunch run for the guys in the shop. Usually Rascals for burgers and wings. He loved talking about his Friday pizza and wine dinner!!
Mark loved buying the latest and greatest tooling for the shop. Sometimes he found some good stuff but when it turned out to be a gimmick or not very good tooling, we loved to bust his chops about it. lol

When I started working with Mark I was somewhat new to dry red wines. As you can guess, he was very happy to help me increase my knowledge of dry wine especially California reds!!! Before I knew it, Mark had me spending more money than I expected on wine! Which in fact amused him very much! LOL
He is missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Mark's family.

Paula, Taylor, and Tracy,
Our deepest sympathy for your great loss of a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather. Mark was a kind and gentle person who we were fortunate to know for over 25 years.
He loved telling us stories from his vacations to Napa, sharing his hopes and dreams for his girls, and discussing politics with George. He also loved boating in the Thousand Islands. One of our most favorite memories of Mark is the time we spent the weekend tent camping at Mary Island State Park on Wellesley Island. We can still recall him proudly navigating us through his beloved islands on that memorable camp out. Nothing could dim the joy in his eyes, not even the rain!
Mark treated us like family and we celebrated many holidays with both Mark and Paula throughout the years. We loved betting on our favorite teams during Super Bowl parties and picnicking and admiring Penfield fireworks on the 4th of July.
Mark was a great cook and he always shared his special German feast with us on many New Year Eve celebrations too.
We will miss him. We pray that all the memories you and your family hold dear in your hearts will give your peace and strength during this difficult time.
