Obituary of Michael W. Dron
Webster: May 22, 2020, at age 96. Mike passed away peacefully with his family by his side (as they always were). Known affectionately as “Zip” to his family and friends, he was an eternal optimist who had great enthusiasm for life. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. A highly sought after lithographer, he worked at RT French, Case-Hoyt, Robert Hart and Kodak. The NY Metropolitan Museum of Art requested his expertise when reproducing famous works of art for their gift shop.
Predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Kathleen (Jordan); his parents, Anna & Peter; sister, Tillie Corbett. He will forever be missed by his loving children, Susan (Thomas ) Drum, Kendra (Roger) Tuttle, Michael (Sandra) Dron, James (Beth) Dron, Jodi Dron; grandchildren, Amanda (Luke) Freeland, Jennifer (Bob) Spryn, Kendall Dron, Sydney Dron; great-grandchildren, Michael, Jack and Holden Spryn, Sara & Kaitlyn Freeland; sisters, Marilyn Link, Jeanne Benton; brother-in-law, Joseph Young; nieces & nephews.
The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at Parkwood Heights and Aaron Manor for their excellent care this past year.
A Memorial Service will be held when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Mike loved flowers and always had 2 or 3 bouquets around his home. In his honor, please send someone you love a big bouquet!
