We are heartbroken by this news. While Mary delivered our mail, she was also a dear friend. We never saw her without a smile and truly appreciated the time she spent stopping to say hi and make sure all was well. She was dedicated not just to her work but also to all she served (also in her hours at the Mobil Station). This is a great loss.

Mary was always a happy person. You can never feel sad around her. I still remember that laugh of hers. She would laugh at herself long before anyone else would.
She can now be with Walter and they can gamble together.
RIP Mary ❤️

My favorite memory of Mary is a Postal one. She always said that I had a baby route. This was true, especially in comparison to hers. Her route got MANY more parcels than mine, every single day. When we were loading up outside, we would trade misthrows which happened because our parcel hampers were next to each other. There was always a remark, like, That’s not fair! or,Stop! or, Enough! Enough! If she had gone back in for a moment, I would leave them on the back ledge or her front seat. But there would always be a dirty look or comment when she got back. I still wonder that she could deliver that many parcels and get back on time. She was fast. She was also very faithful to her customers.
Mary was always easy to talk to. We shared a lot of goofy, silly jokes about weird customers or postal strangeness, each of many varieties.
Having her around helped me to get through our shared hard times, which were many, for the last five or six years. The Post Office kind of went crazy, and we got through it, together.
Love you, Mary!
