Sharing my thoughts of my step Father in Law Harvey…
In the nearly 30 years I have had Harvey in my life, I have know him to be
one of the most compassionate, loving and caring persons I’ve ever known and a true friend to me.
Always giving of himself, whether it was listening to ones troubles and suggesting wise
and comforting solutions, or - physically giving a helping hand directly on one of the many house projects Susan and I were working on, in Geneva or Albion.
His life experience and knowledge was so expansive, that one would only need to mention a
situation one was in, and Harvey would kindly offer up assistance, through the many avenues of experience that he drew on in his life.
Harveys love and pride for his son Craig, was something that would raise the biggest smile on Harveys face and brighten Harveys eyes like nothing else could.
Harveys knowledge and recall of his past AND of all things current was almost shocking!, as he seemed to ask a week or two weeks out about something or some project I mentioned to him prior.
Even as Harvey was living in the Maplewood facility, Harvey would ask…“So how did you make out on that project?”
Amazing recall !, - and also recalling every detail !!!!!!
When Harvey and Mom (Eleanor) were married, his devotion to her was his main focus, as he had discussed with me many times.
Mom and all of us were so very blessed to have Harvey in our lives and we will all miss him immensely.

Harvey was and still is a humble, strong and sweet soul.
He shared many smiles and has left an impact on many of us at maplewood.
We enjoyed the time we had with him .
He surely will be missed and thank you to sue for being such an amazing woman who also left a huge impact on the staff as well.
I am sorry for the loss of such a gentle soul we need more like him to make a positive impact on the world.
Thank you for giving us the time to know him and letting us be apart of his life.
With lots of love and appreciation.
