Obituary of Margaret M. Jordan

Henrietta: On Tuesday January 28, 2020, age 58. Margaret quietly passed away at home in the company of her loving family with the same strong kindness she lived her life. Born in Charlotte NC, Margaret had large family extending from Potter County PA, Rochester NY and Napanee, Ontario Canada. Margaret graduated Gates-Chili HS 1980, SUNY Stony Brook 1983, started her career in banking and finished retiring from US Postal Service in a job she loved - a postal carrier. Survived by brother, Jon (Irene) Jordan; sister, Laurie (Burleigh) Chillcott; dearest cousins, Cindy (Todd) Esham, Ed (Sheryl) Jones; nephews, Jay Jordan and Jesse Jordan; a large extended family & many friends. At Margaret’s request, a Celebration of life will be scheduled in the Spring for family & friends to laugh, enjoy memories & many of her favorite foods in warmer weather she loved so much. Margaret’s family wishes to gratefully recognize the over six years of exceptional care coordinated by Chelsea McCaig NP and Julie Higgins RN of Wilmot Cancer Center. Starting with Dr. Alex Solky, Margaret was empowered in her quietly fierce battle with esophageal cancer by doctors Alan Katz, Marcus Noel, Caroline Jones, Andrea Ferrantino, Timothy Quill, and Aram Hezel, enjoyed many great meals & joyful family celebrations throughout her treatments.
