Obituary of Raymond E. Bailey

Webster: Passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020, surrounded by family. Ray was born on February 27, 1933 in Eccles, West Virginia. He graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He is a retiree from Xerox where he worked most of his life as a chemical engineer. He received several patents during his work at Xerox. Ray is predeceased by his parents, Emory and Annabelle Williams Bailey. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Lois; children, Lynn Schwartz (Rudy), of Newbury, OH, Robert Bailey (Brenda), of University Heights, OH, Rebecca Kamal and friend, Ben O’Brien, of Webster, NY; six grandsons, Clay and Evan (Mallory) Schwartz, Gus (Chanel) and Jack Bailey, Sam and Ben Kamal; son-in-law, Haider Kamal; brother, James Weiford, of West Virginia. Besides loving his family, he enjoyed golfing, music, travel, sports, his pets, running, and playing bridge. Per Ray’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Family and friends are instead invited to celebrate Ray’s life on Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 1-4 PM at 806 Hightower Way, Webster, NY.
