Obituary of James H. Chambery

Rochester: Tuesday, November 19, 2019 age 85. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Johanna; brothers, Herbert and Thomas J. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Judith; children, Gregory (Suzanne), Keith (Elisa), Scott (Lynn), Johanna (Neil) Zandstra; grandchildren, Nicholas (Molly), Kailey and Collin Chambery, Danielle (Michael) Lazzaro, Jaclyn Chambery, Shana Miller, Vanessa Miller, Sherri (SSG Kevin) Kidder, Lauren (Cameron) Alvarez, Alexander and Johanna Chambery, James Zandstra; great-grandchildren, Graham Chambery, Ty and Juliana Kidder; sister-in-law, Olive Chambery; brothers-in-law, William and Edward (Cheri) Beenhouwer. Jim was the longtime owner and operator of The Maplewood Nursing Home. He was a lifetime member of Rochester Christian Reformed Church, a longtime member of Oak Hill Country Club, a graduate of Calvin College, and a veteran of the US Navy. The family would like to thank the staff of The Maplewood Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion.

          Friends are invited to his Memorial Service, 2:00 PM Sunday, December 1, at Browncroft Community Church, 2530 Browncroft Blvd., Rochester 14625. Interment at the convenience of the family at Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield.
