I just read on a person's facebook page that Pat had passed away. I knew Pat from my days at Kodak. I would say I had known Pat for over 10 years. Pat was a special person in that he was always approachable to solve a problem. He had a calm and soothing nature. While others were overwhelmed with tasks, Pat would never raise his voice. He would look around, and ask for further clarification on a problem. If he didn't understand it, he would approach you to further clarify and ask what he could do to help. More times than not, he would come back a couple of hours later and say "I figured it out, and it has been done". Pat didn't have to be in the limelight, his personal satisfaction came from knowing within he could solve a problem.
I has been 7 years since we worked together. We did exchange a few notes via LinkdIn a couple of years ago, and he amazed me how his children had grown into young adults. He was a very proud family man.
