Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Hawes

Hawes, Elizabeth J. "Betty" Penfield: Passed away June 16, 2016, at age 91. Predeceased by her parents, Floyd & Julia Perry; brother, Larry (Mitsue) Perry; sister, Alice Perry. Survived by her husband, Bob, of 55 years of happiness; sister, Patty (Mack) McCarthy; brother-in-law, Ronald (Barbra) Hawes; niece, Julie (Dave) Clas; many nieces & nephews. Betty attended Charlotte High School and worked at Kodak, bldg. #50, paper support office for 40 yrs. Betty loved to fish and travel with Bob to play the slots, and have a ball at their summer camp of 46 yrs., Duck Lake, "Gods' country." Betty always had a smile on her face and never said a bad word of anyone. Betty & Bob always said, "do all the things now and don't wait until you're too old or dead before you do them." Betty, you will always be in our hearts. Friends may call 4-7 PM Monday at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where a Prayer Service will begin the visitation at 4:00 PM. Private interment at Riverside Cemetery, Rochester. In lieu of flowers donations in Betty's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
