Obituary of James Harry Hance

Hance, James Webster: Passed away on June 11th, age 74 at St Ann's Home following a long illness. He was born in Hermon, NY on February 2, 1942. James lived a long and fruitful life. He graduated from RIT in 1964 with a BS in chemistry and he added his MBA in 1971. He had a long successful career at Xerox for 36 years. His job with Xerox allowed him to travel the world where he met his wife, Lily in Hong Kong in 1992. He was responsible for all manufacturing for the first Xerox printer built in China. He also was heavily involved in the Lions Club as Zone Chairman. James is predeceased by his parents; his wife Lily of 18 years; his son, James Hance (JP). Surviving family members include sister, Shirley (Norris) Handschuh, children, Jeff (Angel), Jon (Linet), and Catherine (Nick) Gulfan; grandchildren, James Hance, Jesse Risolo, Nicholas Hance, Serenity Hance, Evanna Hance, Jacob Hance and Jonathan Hance. A gathering will be held June 18th from 4-6 pm at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave. Webster.
