Obituary of Ellen Amelia Renaud

Ellen Amelia Renaud

(Baronas)

Pittsford: Formerly of Webster and Fairport passed on August 29, 2019 after a brief illness.  Born Ellen Amelia Baronas on February 13, 1934, she was the loving daughter of Longin & Amelia Baronas, raised in East Rochester, NY and later raising her family in Webster, NY.

     She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Walter Baronas and a son, John Eldon Renaud.  She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Ellen (Louis) Tartaglia; son, Paul (Rosemary) Renaud; grandchildren, Mark Tartaglia, Lisa (Andrew) Davis, Catlin (Andrew) Gudmundsen, Kristen (Lucas Schoenbeck) Renaud; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Gudmundsen. 

     Ellen pursued her passion to teach after graduating from the State University of New York at Albany.  She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Church in Webster and St. John of Rochester Church in Fairport.  She extensively volunteered her time with many organizations including St. John of Rochester, Matt Talbot Association, Advent Hospice House, Rochester General Hospital and Highland Hospital.  She was an avid participant and enjoyed outdoor activities including hiking, biking, tennis, skiing and treasured time spent with her family.  She traveled the world and never missed an opportunity to explore new places, people and experiences.

     Friends may call 6-8 PM Wednesday, Sept. 4th at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster.  Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Thursday, Sept. 5th at St. John of Rochester, 8 Wickford Way, Fairport.  Interment at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.
