Obituary of George M. Heissenberger, Sr.
Webster, Formerly of Buffalo: Tuesday, May 7, 2019, age 93. Predeceased by his wife, Betty; daughter, Gail Ann; sister, Sylvia Heissenberger. He leaves his children, Karen Hill and George (Peggi) Heissenberger; grandchildren, Erika Hill, Greta (Michael) Heissenberger-DeRan, Glenn (Laura) Heissenberger; great-grandchildren, Charlotte DeRan; nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his aide, Culver Dygert.
George was a member of the 84th Infantry “Railsplitters,” and a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. He worked at Stromberg Carlson, General Dynamics, and Gleason’s, where he retired. George was born in Buffalo, and was a member of the Webster Masonic Lodge, the German-American Federation, Schwaben Verein, and the United Methodist Church of Webster
Friends may call 9-11AM Saturday, May 11, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. Funeral Service will follow at 12-noon Saturday, at the United Methodist Church of Webster, 169 E. Main St., Webster. Interment, White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst. Memorials may be directed to Honor Flight, Rochester, PO Box 23581, Rochester, NY 14692.
