Obituary of Walter F. Dorfner
Webster: Set sail on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, age 88. Predeceased by his parents, Frank & Helen; brothers, Frank Jr. & Robert. He leaves his siblings, Kathleen Bumpus and James (Dolores); several nieces & nephews; dear friends, Robyn Whittaker, Jerry Crissy, Jim Hanley, Carol Dorfner, Lynn Dorfner and many, many friends including the Friday night “prayer group” and his furry friend, Rambo.
Walt was a US Navy, Korean War veteran and a retired pharmacist who started his career at the Webster Drug Store. He was a world traveler who loved a good joke, a good Manhattan and friends to share it with.
Friends are invited to his Memorial Service 2:00 PM Sunday, Nov. 25th at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. A celebration of his life will immediately follow the service at the Knights of Columbus Center, 70 Barrett Dr. Webster. Spring interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to American Diabetes Assoc. or Nuts for Mutts.
