I only got to know Pete recently but in that short amount of time learned what a great person he was. I'll always remember when he ran up to me at the ARNE convention and gave me a big hug; I forgot I had helped with something at work and he reminded me saying "thank you thank you thank you!!" He will be missed but never forgotten by his auto recycling colleagues.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately I only have the good fortune of meeting Kelly but after knowing her, I feel I know all of you and the great people you must be to have raised such a brilliant and loving daughter. I hope that time heals the wounds on your hearts quickly so that you can focus on the wonderful gifts that he brought into your life instead of sadness at the loss of him. Much Love. Chantel

I was totally shocked to hear of Pete's passing. Loved his sense of humor, and his laugh....I can still hear it.
I will miss Pete kidding me about me eating "square hamburgers" when we were little kids!! Everytime I was home in N.Y. he would harass me about it. He will be missed immensely.
My deepest sympathy to Ellen, his kids, and the Wilbert's.
He's in great care now with Aunt Merce & Uncle Art.

The world stood still today with the passing of Pete Wilbert. I met Pete and his father when I bought a 1967 Buick GS convertible in 1969 with the recommended endorsement from another friend of our's, Wayne Wilmes. Everytime I saw Pete after that he would tell me my warranty was up but he could make me a great deal on a nice flood car!
Ellyn we will all miss Pete and his smile and humor. It has been a privilege to know Pete and his siblings all these years. It will be hard to drive by the Salt Road facility and not think of Pete.
Ellyn our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family at this time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what you are going through. I had the good fortune to be in class with his daughter Kelly and his niece Kari and nephew Brian. I do remember him as being a fun loving and happy man. The Wilbert family has always struck me as close knit, hard working, and honest. My condolences to the whole family.

This saddens me. I grew up in the same neighborhood as the original Wilbert's Buick and GM. The Wilberts have been our neighbors for over 50yrs. Losing my dad a couple months ago and now a member of the Wilbert family. My heart goes out to the family of Pete. I know how you all feel. It hurts to loose someone close, but time does heal and we will always have the memories of loved ones. God bless.

I am so sorry for your loss... Wow Pete you sir were a great man. A legend! While you were firm and tough there was also alot of sympathy in your heart. You blessed me with the opportunity to learn almost everything in the salvage business and I cannot be more thankful for that. I know i wasn't employed for a really long time but it was definitely enough time to learn and get in the best shape I have ever been in from the physical labor! God bless you sir! May you rest peacefully and I'll see you in the afterlife. To your family I give all my condolences.
