Hey Lady,
'Tis a fine soft day with the rain coming straight down. Bit chilly at 38 degrees, but that not unusual for Saint Patrick's Day. We've got Corned Beef Brisket started in the Crockpot. Potatoes, cabbage, onion and carrots will go in after Mass. As per your instructions, I put in a wee dram o' white vinegar with the spices. You and Dad always preferred the round over brisket, but the prices were outrageous this year.
Thank you for teaching me how to cook all those many years ago. -- and especially thank you for letting me make mistakes along the way.
I wore Uncle Jim's "Giant Leprechaun" button on Friday to go visit Judy with Highland Mary. Bridget will wear it today when she teaches Sunday School. I'll wear the Connamara Marble Shamrock broach. Not sure what Bethany's or Jennifer's plans are, but I'm sure they'll be wearing green. You always said it was important to you that we wear green for Saint Patrick's Day.
I miss you and Dad and Don and Jim so very much.
