Obituary of Kenneth L. Heim
Webster: Friday, June 8, 2018, aged 93. Predeceased by his son, David Heim; grandson, Jonathan Heim; parents, John and Gertrude Schauer Heim; sisters, Genevieve Jandrain and Alice Kreuser. Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Betty Jane; children, Kathleen (Ed) McConnell, Gary (Judi), Donald (Patricia), Douglas (Sharon), Diane (Brian) Olson; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Ken graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1942. He graduated from Marquette University in 1949 with a BSME, after having served in the US Army for 3 years. In 1948, Ken and Betty exchanged marriage vows at Annunciation Church in Green Bay. After 17 years of engineering employment in Wisconsin, Ken and family moved to Webster, NY to begin his career with Xerox as a Senior Engineer and Manager, retiring in 1988.
First of all, Ken was a family man. He also enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and his hobbies of gardening, oil painting, and reading historical and theological material. Most of all, Ken was proud of the title of Green Bay Packer Owner.
Friends and family are invited to attend his Memorial Mass, 11 AM, Friday, June 22, at St. Paul’s R. C. Church, 783 Hard Road, Webster, NY 14580, where Ken was a founding member and a longtime active parishioner.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Church.
