Obituary of Paula Keilson

Paula Keilson, of Brighton, died peacefully on April 29, 2018. She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be sadly missed.  Paula was predeceased by her husband Professor Julian Keilson; parents Ruth and Paul; and brother Franklin.  She is survived by her daughter Julia (Monty) Craig; son David Keilson; grandchildren Jeff, Aaron, Jessica (Nathan), Rebecca (Kevin), Sarah (George), Laura (James), Joanna and Josiah (Anne); great grandchildren; nieces, and a nephew.

Paula lived an active and fulfilling life with kindness, energy, humor, generosity, compassion, independence and adventure. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, teaching English to international students, and all things outdoors including hiking and skiing. Paula was a graduate of Smith College and had strong ties to the University of Rochester.

The family would like to thank the 5^th floor South staff at St John’s Nursing Home for their compassionate care.

Friends are invited to Paula’s Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 21, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Literacy Volunteers of Rochester, The Wilmot Cancer Institute, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
