Born to LaRue and Leona Raup Croman on February 10, 1943 in Muncy, PA, Lana was married to Robert Leschhorn on June 27, 1964 at St. Theodore Church in Gates, NY. The couple lived for a short time in both Rochester and later Webster, until building their home on Ridge Road, Ontario in 1968. Lana worked as a dental hygienist for 25 years for Dr. Santo in the Village of Webster. An active member of St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, Lana had been a part of both the Stephen and Martha Ministries early on and then spent 25 years teaching Catholic Education at her church. Lana and Bob enjoyed being a part of their supper club, eating with a group of friends every Friday night, and periodically throwing a “Minergy” party, where a whole group of friends would show up at another friend’s home with a party box, which contained all of the “fixins” needed for a party! With a knack for drawing people together, Lana enjoyed clam-bakes on Labor Day weekend, pool parties and especially get togethers with family. She was avid knitter- made all her children and grandchildren special Christmas stocking, sweaters, scarves and then made prayer shawls for ill parishioner/friends. She loved her cross words and jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, Lana loved her family and friends.
Friends may call 2-4, 6-8 Friday at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish at St Mary’s of the Lake Church, 5823 Walworth Rd., Ontario, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday. Memorials may be directed to Ontario Volunteer Ambulance, 6132 Furnace Rd., Ontario, NY 14519. Willard H. Scott Funeral Home.
