Dear Lynne,
What can one say at moments like this and yet one has to say something. As you grieve may you, with support from family and friends, have the strength to cope with your loss.
And now the words which are inadequate but need to be said: please accept my condolences on the passing of your mom. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time.
