Obituary of William Joseph Kalamanka

Kalamanka, William (Bill) Joseph Webster, NY: surrounded by his loving family on January 11, 2015 at age 82. Bill is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Pauline, and his brother, Thomas. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Barbara; his four children, Brian (Jennifer) of Tampa, FL, Kathleen (Thomas) Johnson of Webster, NY, Lori (Andrew) Kosara of Kennett Square, PA, and Linda (Daniel) O'Connell of Victor, NY; 9 grandchildren, Katherine & Laura Kalamanka, Kyle, Jamie and Connor Johnson, Mitchell & Julia Kosara, and Kelly & Jason O'Connell; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Born in Salamanca, NY, Bill graduated from St. Bonaventure University. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Delco Products, Epilepsy Foundation and retired from Eastman Kodak Company as an accountant after 26 years of service. Bill was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Church and Webster Golf Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling, gardening, and attending his grandchildren's activities. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 14th from 4-8 pm at the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Avenue, Webster. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 15th at Holy Trinity Church, 1460 Ridge Road, Webster. Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bill's memory to Catholic Family Center, 87 North Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY 14604 or to Holy Trinity Church.
