Obituary of Edward S. Jones

           Pittsford: Tuesday, January 30, 2024, age 75. Predeceased by his wife in November, Lorrilyn; parents, Edward and Dorothea Jones; sister, Nancy Ellen Jones. He leaves his sister, Dorothy (Gary) Higgins; nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Francis) Halloran, Joanne (Steven) Cook, Sandra (Richard) Shores, Contessa (Pat) Tobin, Kaitlyn (Jerry) Tagliente, Jaclyn (Justin) Brosnan, Brandon Whitmore and Rebecca (Ryan) O’Connor;  Colorado cousins, Bill, John and Michael Jones, Judy Crusius, Cindy Landsberg and Mary Beth Wilson brothers and sisters -in-law, Claude Wright, Christine (Marshall) Kelly, Valerie (Doug) Wahl, and Joanne (Peter) Smith.  Predeceased by nephew, Claude A. Wright.

          Ed graduated from South Glens Falls High School in 1966 and Northeastern University in 1971, where he was Coxswain for the crew team and graduated with an Engineering Degree. Ed started working for Kodak Co. in 1971. He met his wife, Lorrie, at ski club, and they married on May 18, 1974. In 1975, they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado for Kodak, and then back again to Rochester in 1981. Ed had a lot of interests, including golfing at Sodus Heights Golf Club, where he was a member, skiing, sailing, camping in their motorhome, making and altering costumes for Lorrie’s Sweet Adeline performances, as well as working lighting and set building for their local theatre group, the Footlight Players.

          Friends are invited to call 12:30-1:30 PM Mon., Feb. 5 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where his Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 PM. Interment following at Webster Union Cemetery.
