Kurt Tausch was easy to love. Kurt was stubborn, but lovable. Those who knew him would understand those words.

     Born December 12, 1958 to Harold and Judy Tausch. Kurt passed away April 1, 2026 with loving family and many loyal friends to see him along the way.

     Kurt was like no other.  He had a successful soccer career that left him with lifelong friends. Kurt was extremely social and had a very kid-like sense of humor. He would make people laugh with his smart ass one line comments. To know him was to love him.  He made us all laugh.  

     Kurt loved his kids. He is survived by his children, Colin & Karsten Tausch, Eva, Garrett and Luke Hungerford Tausch; niece, Karly Tausch, brothers, Erich (Anne) and Karl (Amy) Tausch; step-brother, Michael (Bonnie) Quitsch; step-father, Dieter Quitsch; step mother, Elvira Tausch; loving cousins, Laura Lewis Edwards and Julie Lewis Wahl; and an endless circle of soccer friends who knew him as well as family. Special thanks to some of Kurt’s closest friends John Tegas, Jim Gallina, Tom Strutt, John Swift, Michael Cregan. And a sincere and special thank you to all of you who visited Kurt while he was in the hospital. This meant a lot to Kurt as it always lifted his spirits and often gave us all a reason to laugh. This was immensely appreciated by all of Kurt’s family.

     It is impossible to try to sum up the type of person Kurt was, or the life he lived. However you knew Kurt, we are all sad to see him go. He was, for lack of better words to describe him, amusing and entertaining.  We will miss you Kurt!

     To celebrate Kurt, we would like to meet and have drinks at Hooligans and/or gather someplace to celebrate Kurt on a date soon to be determined.
