Age 93, after a struggle against Alzheimer’s Disease, he was predeceased by his wife Marlene (Culligan), son in-law, John Santiago Sr, grandsons, John and J.J. Santiago, granddaughter, Michelle Cruz; survived by daughters, Susan Simmons, Deb Utz, daughter in-law, Christy Irwin; grandchildren, Al (Dawn) Santiago, Joseph (Tracey Bousman) Sullivan, Mandy (Steve) Armendinger, Glenn (Betsy) Meyer, Kayli (Brenden) Yourch; great grandchildren, Drake Saysomvang, Dawnelle Schroeder, Sophia Sullivan, Gregg and Samuel Meyer, Brennus Armendinger; brother, George (Marilyn) Utz, sister, Carol (Hank) Fulmer, brother in-law, Thomas Culligan Sr, Uncle Herbert Freitag Sr; many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
Fred was a baker for many years at Utz Bakery, a Developer, and staple of the local Real Estate community until his retirement. He was a proud Veteran of the Korean conflict, graduate of Dunwoody Baking Institute, served as Secretary of the Webster Chamber of Commerce for multiple decades, and did extensive research and recording of his family history.
In lieu of funeral services a Celebration of Life will be held at Boom Point Winery at a date to be announced. Donations in his name may be sent to Rochester Honor Flight or the Webster Comfort Care Home.
