Fairport: Sunday, January 4, 2026, age 78. Predeceased by his parents, William and Marie Naukam. He leaves his wife, Deborah A. Jop; siblings, Susan Westover, Marcia Naukam and Andrew Naukam; nieces and nephews, Timothy (Leah) and Bradley Westover, Ilisa (Jacob) Stein, Nathaniel (Catalina Friscia) and Steven Naukam; 5 great nieces and nephews.
A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Larry earned an MS degree in Library Science, which he used for many years as a librarian at Rochester’s Rundell Library, working in Local History and digitizing documents. He gave numerous talks through the Genealogical Society, of which he was president for several years; receiving an award for his efforts.
Larry was highly devoted to his wife, Deb, with whom he shared many travels. From an early age, he spent wonderful times at “The Elms” in Vine Valley with relatives.
Running was a favorite pastime for Larry, which he did up into his senior years. He loved the company of his long-time friends, Jeff and Ken.
Friends may call 12 to 2 PM Sunday, January 11 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where his Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Assoc. or American Cancer Soc.
