Penfield: Saturday, January 3, 2026, age 94. Predeceased by his parents, Roy and Muriel Smith; sister, Norma Putnam. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Ruth; daughters, Pamela (Craig) Brower and Julie Warr; grandchildren, Alyssa and Luke, Kali and Leah; great-grandson, Landon.

     Melvin was a founding member of Crossroads Community Church where he stayed active throughout his life. He was well known for his witty/dry sense of humor and for how much he loved his family.

     Calling hours will be held 9AM-11AM Monday, January 12, at Crossroads Community Church, 1188 Jackson Rd., Webster, where his Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM. In honor of Melvin’s favorite color, visitors are encouraged to wear pink. Private family interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
