Rochester:  Friday, December 12, 2025, age 97.  Predeceased by husband Raymond R. Vanasse. She leaves her children, Stephen Vanasse, Jacqueline (Clint) Burgess, Nicolette (John) Mattice, Diane (Jacques) Savoie, Barbara (George) Ottenschot and Peggy (Dave) Revelle;  grandchildren (12): Samuel & Matthew, Katherine & Michael, Christine, Marielle & Omer, Jacob & Brandon, Gina, Anthony & David;  great-grandchildren (7) Nori, Sage & Lily, Asher, Russell, Ayden & Ana. She is also survived by Brother-in-laws & sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews; and pet cat, Kitty.

            A 20 plus year retiree of Greece Central School District, Claire had many interests, including crocheting, bird watching, solving crossword puzzles, reading, making jigsaw puzzles, and bingo. In her earlier years of retirement she enjoyed trips to Cape Cod, MA and camping throughout NYS with her daughters and grandchildren.

            The family wishes to acknowledge the additional loving care Claire received from Kristie, Sara & Linda over the last few years. 

            Friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 AM Saturday, December 27 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester 14615.  Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Lifespan.
