January 9, 1931 – November 27, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Clark Wayne Rath, who left us peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on January 9, 1931, Clark lived a long and meaningful life.
Clark proudly served his country in the United States Navy submarine services. He spent 29 years at Eastman Kodak, and later continued his career with Ogden Telephone, where he genuinely enjoyed his role as a purchaser. Clark also owned and operated Wayne Enterprises Used Cars. He was a member of the Auxiliary Police in Orleans County.
A lifelong aviation enthusiast, Clark was a licensed private pilot who owned and flew his own plane. His passion for aviation led him to serve as President of Gaines Valley Aviation for several years, a role he took great pride in and one that allowed him to share his love of flying with others.
While Clark most recently lived in the Webster/Penfield area, he previously spent many happy years in Waterport, New York in his home on the river, as well as in Florida, where he enjoyed the warm weather and relaxed lifestyle.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Ellen; his children JoAnn Johnson (Bill), Cathy Costanza (Jeff), Carol Lilley (Phil), Lori Rath Sparks (Darrell), and Terry Rath; and his stepchildren Catherine Miller (Dave) and Joseph Geldart (Lisa). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Clark will be remembered as a someone who approached life with humor, kindness, and quiet strength.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at:
