Thelma D. Dinse, 98, passed away October 14, 2025 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Thelma is predeceased by her husband, Earl Hance Dinse (1986). She is survived by her son, Gregg (Terri) Dinse of Raleigh, NC; her daughter, Barbara (James) Eckler of Webster, NY; her grandsons, Jonathan (Annie) Eckler and Bryan (Abbey) Eckler; and her great-granddaughter, Adeline Josephine Eckler.

Thelma was born on December 27, 1926, in the town of Addison, NY to Lee J. and Gertrude (Cummings) DeGraw. Thelma received her teaching degree in elementary education from Brockport State Teachers College in 1948. While at Brockport State she met her future husband, Earl H. Dinse. She and Earl married and settled in Webster, NY, where Thelma taught in the Webster School District until her retirement in June of 1982. Thelma never really stopped teaching, however, as she spent many years sharing her teaching skills as a loving caregiver for her grandsons.

There will be no traditional services for Thelma; a private celebration of life will be held at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thelma’s memory may be made to Webster Comfort Care, 700 Holt Road, Webster, NY 14580, or an animal charity of your choice.
