He was predeceased by his sister, Sally and brothers, John and Vincent.
Born in Utica, NY to Pasquale and Antonette (Aiello) Pugliese in 1931, Patsy graduated from Dolgeville High School in 1949 where he played varsity football. He attended college at Alfred Agricultural and Technical College where he was a member of the Gamma Theta Gamma fraternity and met his wife Lonnie. He served in the Army where he worked as a radio technician on tanks.
Patsy was hired as the first Technical Representative for Haloid Corporation, which eventually became Xerox. He retired after 30 years in the perfect role for him as a quality control manager at Xerox. Those who knew him would often be heard asking one another, “Is that Patsy approved?”
He was a master tinkerer and found great joy in junk picking, appliance repair and furniture refinishing, much to the benefit of his friends and family. Pat was a collector of many things including Hot Wheel cars and Smurfs. He and Lonnie were famous for their impressive annual garage sale. Pat also loved the woods and maintained a cabin in the Adirondacks that he visited frequently, spending time with friends.
While he was often a man of few words, he was mostly a man with great love for his family and generosity in his heart. He and Lonnie volunteered for many years at Goodwill, Webster Food Cupboard, and Webster Public Library. He was a strong, capable, and dependable man with great integrity and morals.
Services will be private with no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Pat can be made to the Webster Public Library Foundation, 980 Ridge Rd, Webster, NY 14580.
