Ontario: Donald L. Hosenfeld, 75, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at The Leo Center for Caring, St. Ann’s Home, surrounded by his family.

      Don was born in Rochester, NY, on October 7, 1949, to the late Lawrence and Louise Hosenfeld. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Hosenfeld and his in laws, Frank. B and Betty Smith. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Linda; children, Jennifer (Brad) Rothaar, Daniel Hosenfeld and Meredith Sigl; grandchildren, Emma Sigl, Maxwell and Gracelyn Rothaar; brother, Gary; sister-in-law, Sharon Hosenfeld; brother-in-law, James (Cathy) Smith; nieces and nephew, cousins and many friends.

      Don graduated in 1967 from McQuaid Jesuit High School and received a bachelor’s in science from SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry, Syracuse, NY. Don was a retiree of Dolomite Group where he worked as an Equipment Manager and restored a 1928 Mack Chain Drive Truck for the company. He had a love for antique cars and trucks and was a member of the Lakeshore Model A Club, Genesee Valley Antique Car Society, International Model A Ford Victoria Association and the American Truck Historical Society. Don and Linda enjoyed touring the country with their 1931 Model A Ford Victoria “Vicky.” He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

      Friends may call 4-7 PM, Friday, June 6, 2025 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Avenue, Webster. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday, June 7, 2025, at St. Mary of the Lake Church/St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 5823 Walworth Road, Ontario. Interment immediately following, Holy Trinity Cemetery, 1460 Ridge Road, Webster.                                                                 

      The family would like to thank the staff at both Rainer Grove, Cherry Ridge and The Leo Center for Caring, St. Ann’s, for their compassionate care they gave Don and the family.
