Obituary of Carol Lea Burnett
Webster: Died April 22, 2025 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her parents, Kay and Lee Freace. Carol is survived by her husband, Terry; children, Molly (Troy) Bolan, Andrew (Lisa) and Jeffrey (Cathy) Burnett; grandchildren, Kelly (Richie) Brocker, Joshua (Suzie) Zenkel, Daniel Burnett (Joseph Kocher), Jacob (Yasmeen) and Jordan (Michelle) Bolan, Jessica, Brittany, Kaylee, Nicholas and Addison Burnett; great-grandchildren, Ella and Sadie Brocker, Jett Zenkel and Bentley Bradshaw; sister, Dawn (Guy) Vanderwerken; brother, Lee (Joanne) Freace; special sister-in-law, Diane VanderKamp; many nieces and nephews.
After several years with Eastman Kodak and Webster Tool and Dye, Carol discovered her life’s work in Real Estate Sales. Beginning her new career with Utz Realty in Webster, she moved on to Earl Krakower Realty where she enjoyed many years with Earl and Esther and eventually earning her Broker’s License. During this period, Carol also found time to serve a term on the Webster School Board. Carol retired from Coldwell Banker in 2006.
Carol enjoyed, and was quite good at, many activities and hobbies including sewing, ceramics, gardening and all types of arts and crafts. Many happy hours were spent with her friends in a decades running bridge card club.
Carol was most happy when she was able to be with her children and grandchildren. She especially looked forward to yearly excursions to South Carolina where most, if not all of the family would gather. All of the grandkids came prepared to share what they learned the previous year in exchange for a hug and a crisp ten dollar bill from grandma (Gma). Carol loved a party and would be the first one on the field for the family kickball game.
Many thanks go to all who were a help and comfort to Carol in recent years. Special thanks to Chris, who was a great help during this period and most recently to Stacey for her compassionate and loving care. Thanks also to Nurse Jodi, who was there when we needed her most. Also, thanks to Lenora and Gloria for their much appreciated assistance with Carol.
Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Friday, April 25, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster.
