April 12, 1960 – January 28, 2025. Kate passed away suddenly on January 28, 2025 at the age of 64. Predeceased by her parents, Nancy and James Hayslip. She is survived by her siblings, Michelle, Gregory, and Constance (Michael); her children, Joshua (Nikki), Mara (Elliott), Adam (Stephanie), and Benjamin; and her five grandchildren.
Kate lived most of her life in Webster, New York, where she grew up and raised her children, before spending her final decade in Bel Air, Maryland. She was active in the community for many years, particularly through the Rochester Mothers of Twins’ Club and the Webster School District’s PTSA. She found meaning in her career as a community pharmacist, where she was a caring advocate for her patients. She will be remembered for her love of the Indigo Girls and of Jean Luc Picard, the one true captain of the Starship Enterprise.
Friends may call 3-5 PM Saturday, February 8 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where her Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Lollypop Farm in honor of her beloved cat, Cassiopeia (Cassie).
